Breaking News

Australian Federal government has decided to remove the option for Health Fund rebates in 2019. If you would like to continue to be able to claim Alexander lessons, please write to your local member to express this view.

Workers Compensation and Taxation rebates will still apply where appropriate.

Workers Compensation

The cost of attendance at Alexander technique lessons and classes may be claimable via Workers Compensation if a Doctors referral has been made. Sydney Alexander Technique will be happy to provide documentary evidence and progress reports to support your application.

Taxation Expense Claims

Students in some professions including Physiotherapists and other Allied Health Practitioners, Musicians and Music Teachers, other Performing Artists, Professional Speakers and Sports people may find they can claim the cost of Alexander Technique training as a professional self-education expense on their tax return. Please check with your tax accountant if you think this may apply to you.
