The Bodyminded Training Program
12 Workshops | 12 Private Lessons | 12 Months of Bodyminded Practitioner Training
Create positive and long-lasting change in the way your body moves and how your mind and body coordinate.
The BodyMinded Training Program is a unique blend of the study of human movement integrated with the practical application of Alexander Technique principles. The core principle explored throughout this program is Mind-Body Unity, in which every action is an action of the whole-self. We focus on improving mindfulness of the whole-self and developing an understanding on how this enhances the quality of your body’s coordination.
Our BodyMinded training program is appropriate and effective in many kinds of professional application such as: music teaching, musical performance, acting, yoga practice, yoga teaching, massage professional practice, meditation and martial arts teachers. It is also beneficial for those looking to recovery from injury, relieve back or neck pain, or for those simply looking to replace bad habits with healthier ones.
Our team of trained professionals work with you to achieve:
- A deep understanding of the principles of the BodyMinded approach and the ability to action these in your every day life.
- Recognising and working with the integration of mind and body with those you may teach or coach.
- The ability to map processes of the BodyMinded approach in context
- Reveal your own thinking and moving habits and how to create positive change within yourself in a constructive way.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The BodyMinded Training Program is appropriate and effective in many kinds of professional applications such as: music teaching, musical performance, acting, yoga practice, yoga teaching, massage professional practice, meditation and martial arts teachers. However, anyone and everyone will benefit from applying Alexander Technique principles to their daily life whether their personal outcomes include improving their health and wellbeing, recovery journeys, improving their quality of life or just to sate their curiosity when it comes to the body-minded approach to life.
“Alexander Technique is for life and living in general. I find myself applying AT principles all the time to assist myself to do daily activities such as driving, walking or pilates classes with more ease and awareness.”
“Apart from the amazing facts about coordination, Alexander Technique also taught me an extremely important message – it is not about capabilities but about choices. Even though I have been developing this false posture for over ten years, I believe that I will fix my problem one day because I will choose to put effort in changing the way I play, as well as the way I think. Since the workshop, whenever I play the piano I felt more freedom and connected with every note I pressed.”
“My lessons opened an entirely new way of being in the world. I have had so few lessons thus far and yet so many changes have stemmed from what I have learned, and continue learning. I have learned about choices and how to consciously be aware of those choices. I have learned a practical way of being mindful with movement and this practice has spilled over into areas of my life I would not have imagined could be possible had I been told before beginning my lessons. I now move with freedom and am learning to be much more comfortable in my own skin.”
